Sustainability & Community Engagement · London

Helping purpose-driven organisations grow their impact — for good.

I work with organisations to help them engage their communities, build financial resilience, and create lasting change for people, climate, and nature.

What I do

Four ways I work with organisations.

Each engagement is shaped to the team and the moment. Most projects touch more than one of these.

01

Financial Resilience & Funding Strategy

Moving beyond grant dependency and investment cycles. I work with organisations to design sustainable revenue models — from membership and earned income to crowdfunding and B2B partnerships.

02

Community Engagement & Growth

Helping organisations build and deepen relationships with the people they serve — turning passive audiences into active, loyal communities that drive both impact and income.

03

Early-Stage Startup Advisory

For founders building climate and nature ventures who want to get the fundamentals right from the start. Strategic support on business model design, community building, and creating organisational resilience before the pressure to scale takes over.

04

Impact Measurement & Storytelling

Helping organisations understand, articulate, and amplify their impact — from theory of change design and data analysis through to reports and narratives that genuinely move people.

About

Fourteen years building one thing taught me how to help others build theirs.

I spent 14 years building Do Nation — a behaviour change platform that engaged 70,000 people to save over 17,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually through their personal actions. We pioneered an industry, shaping funding models from the ground up through a mixture of grant funding, angel investment, crowdfunding, and, predominantly, B2B sales. We worked with 500+ clients from primary schools to PwC, innocent drinks to WWF, and grew organically to a team of 19 — before closing the business gracefully in 2024.

That experience taught me something many impact organisations are still figuring out: community isn't just your mission — it's your most underutilised business asset. The most durable organisations aren't those who landed the biggest grant or closed a Series A. They're the ones who built genuine relationships with the people they serve, and found ways to turn that loyalty into sustainable income — through membership models, crowdfunding, earned revenue, or partnerships with real depth.

This is especially true for early-stage startups. Too many promising climate and nature ventures get locked into a cycle of round after round of investment, optimising for growth over resilience. I love working with founders at the early stage to design their organisations differently from the start — building in the community relationships, revenue models, and operational foundations that create longevity rather than dependency.

Beyond that, I bring experience across strategy, employee engagement, impact measurement, and storytelling — and I work best as a genuine thought partner, not a consultant who parachutes in with a framework.

I'm London-based, currently taking on a small number of new clients, and I'd love to hear what you're working on.

How I work

Five things you can count on.

  1. /01

    Human first.

No corporate consulting bullshit — just honest, personal, and occasionally fun conversations about things that matter.

  2. /02

    Unafraid to challenge.

I'll interrogate your assumptions, push back on the obvious answer, and ask the uncomfortable question. That's where the good stuff usually hides.

  3. /03

    Hands-on and pragmatic.

I'm not here to hand over a framework. I think best when I'm in the room, riffing on ideas, iterating together, and making things work in practice.

  4. /04

    Deeply collaborative.

Some of my best work happens in the messy middle of a good brainstorm. I love working with clients and colleagues, not just for them.

  5. /05

    Impact-driven to the core.

I'm only interested in work that moves the needle on something that genuinely matters.
